ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Our office in Vienna, Illinois has an opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant. Candidate will be expected to perform office tasks such as:

  • Client contact
  • Scheduling
  • Answering, screening, and routing telephone calls
  • Preparing communications (emails, memoranda, etc.)
  • Filing
  • Taking meeting notes
  • Maintaining spreadsheets and databases
  • Arranging travel
  • Assisting with marketing efforts
  • Ordering supplies and equipment
  • Processing invoices
  • Processing accounts payable
  • Preparing client deliverables
  • Scanning, copying, and binding documents
  • Other general clerical duties

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • Customer service skills
  • Professionalism
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle many ongoing tasks at a time
  • Effective communication skills
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Basic technological proficiency (desktop and mobile computers, Microsoft Office suite, email)

DRAFTSPERSON

Our office in Vienna, Illinois seeks a full-time Draftsperson. Candidate will be expected to perform drafting technician tasks such as:

  • Perform computer aided drafting necessary to complete engineering drawings as directed
  • Prepare surveying drawings
  • Gather and report general project information
  • Produce specific portions of project reports (technical, financial, statistical)
  • Working well within a team under the direction of a Project Manager and/or a Professional Land Surveyor
  • Other duties as assigned

Work primarily in an office setting with occasional field experiences.   Must work the hours necessary to meet project deadlines.

Skills Needed

  • Strong computer skills (Word/excel/file management)
  • Strong proficiency in measurements, geometry, and math skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to learn drafting, mapping, and engineering software applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.  Coursework or demonstrated proficiency in geometry, mathematics, drafting, engineering, or related technical subjects is preferred.

    Survey Field CREW CHIEF

    Our Vienna, Illinois office has an opening for a full-time survey field crew chief. Candidate will be expected to perform survey field crew chief tasks as listed below, with other expectations as assigned.

    Basic tasks include working under the direct supervision of the Professional Land Surveyor and/or Project Manager, providing direction to other survey field technicians on site, meeting with clients on site, using field equipment to collect data, preliminary field work, corner searches, staking, oversight of field computations, maintaining records and field notes, upkeep and inventory of equipment and supplies, assisting in the training of field technicians, performing court house research, and the ability to read and understand maps and the rectangular system of surveying.
